I met Eyler through the internet and his Thomas Jefferson on Politics and Government Website while developing the Mt. Rushmore Contest. In addition, I had the pleasure of meeting him and his son Robert Eyler Coates, Jr. during a visit to New Orleans. He was a versatile man of many interests as manifested by his websites. He was highly conscientious in pursuit of historical accuracy and dedicated to his endeavors.
